“ My husband is from Texas, and therefore, extremely picky about his bbq. We recently moved to Framingham from Newton, where our go-to bbq place was Blue Ribbon. We didn't think we'd find a place that could come close, but Firefly's may have exceeded them. We shared a baby back rib half slab, mashed potatoes, catfish bites, Mac & cheese, and OMG the chocolate filled beignets. We got the Texas bbq sauce for the ribs. Everything was absolutely delicious, and my Texan husband gives them an A+. The beignets are supposed to come with 3 dipping sauces - chocolate, caramel, strawberry, but the strawberry was missing. Didn't matter though, because they really don't need sauce. Unbelievably delicious! We've found our new bbq place!! ”

“ I was in area and always wanted to try the wings. Stopped if after 4 pm on Tuesday. Place is massive in size, plenty of seats, bar seats. Excellent TVs everywhere for sports viewing on a game day. Good beer and menu options. The 4 meat combo with 2 sides, and cornbread was reasonable for portion size. The fried chicken was a huge breast, and a wing.. excellent southern fried taste and best chicken I've had in long time since eating the best in southern Georgia . The buttermilk sauce or gravy was nice touch for the dipping. St. Louis Ribs perfect smoke flavors and plentiful meat and size. Brisket good , pulled pork good. Side of Mac and cheese excellent, bbq beans good. Cornbread nice fresh and moist and not dry like most other places. Excellent meal , 5 choices of sauces which were all good flavors . Only issue was pulled pork, brisket on cold side and may have been because I was there early just after opening. A take home box for brisket, pull pork sandwich for lunch tomorrow. Waitress was excellent, well trained and top notch service. Owner stopped at table checking how it was. Kitchen manager I think also stopped by to check as well. The chicken wings looked like a must try next time ... fried chicken was again a must try here. Amount of food for price points is very fair under the current inflationary 2024. Another key attention to detail was the nice comfort seats, bar chairs. I do suggest a ground light at parking lot entrance/ exit sign as was misleading to me in dark as first visit in the darkness. I almost drove over Lawn as the exit sign pointed on right ... was dark area there and as 1st time visitor in dark can be misleading and more so if after adult beverages... ”

“ Food here is absolutely fantastic BUT, it's for fans of fatty, hearty meat! I'm not going to devalue this place with my personal taste because I saw Firefly's on the Phantom Gourmet when I was 9 and have been hunting for it since [ currently 27 lol ]! This place has great service and a unique atmosphere that almost feels like an early 2000s arcade [complimentary] - It's a great place! And it's always packed so they're definitely doing something right! Mac and Cheese is AMAZING - and the brisket.... don't even get me started - I'd go there right now if I could! Tons of BBQ sauce options which is fantastic. Lovely spot to go to in the Summer or whenever you're craving a cozy, home cooked bbq meal! ”

“ TLDR: great bbq, great sides Very pleasantly surprised to stumble upon this place. This place gets mad busy - we came in off hours and it was still fairly full. The food is excellent. We got the brisket which was incredibly tender and flavorful. Our sides were Cole slaw and Mac and cheese which were both very well done. The Cole slaw wasn't too bitter and felt fresh and refreshing. The Mac and cheese had a nice depth to it. The cornbread deserves its own mention because it was so incredibly moist. Really happy to eat here and there's a huge menu so plenty to check out! ”

“ Five years ago, I wrote a five-star review of Firefly's BBQ. I don't usually return to update reviews unless I'm changing my rating -- so basically, I'm here to add another five stars (along with a few more photos!). How wonderful that Firefly's isn't just STILL good -- they're even better. We've now made it a vacation tradition, since we first stumbled upon this place in 2019, to make an intentional overnight stop in MA on our way to Maine just so we can have this excellent, fall of the bone tender BBQ. Can't recommend them highly enough -- enjoy! ”

“ Chicken was succulent and the breading was very crisp. Could definitely taste the Cajun on the fish fingers, though visually it's more like a knuckle than a finger. 100% would recommend the white gravy sauce, I would eat that over BBQ sauce any day Mac felt a little overcooked cause we came in later at night. 7.5/10 ”

“ I was introduced to Firefly's years ago as my husband's family would frequent often and on my most recent visit, I sat outside on the patio and let me tell you, there's nowhere else you'd rather enjoy a meal in the suburbs on a warm summer evening! They are known for their whiskeys but they do have an extensive craft beer menu. I enjoyed their Julio's Liquors x Cold Harbor Brewing collaboration IPA in celebration of Julio's 50th Anniversary at the outdoor bar while a Red Sox game was on. When it comes to their BBQ, it's the best around! For starters, I love the Thai Salted Caramel Ribs and the fried pickles. Entree-wise, you can't go wrong with any of their combos or platters (I recommend trying at least 2 meats - my favorites are the pulled chicken and brisket). Leave room for dessert because their beignets are out of this world! One of my friends said she recently took a trip to New Orleans and said every beignet she had there could not compare to Firefly's! ”

“ First off, thank you for being open on July 4th! The food was good. We shared the two meat platter, and it was more than enough for us. I will say, the Mac and cheese definitely could've used a lil more seasoning. They have a bbq and hot sauce station, I thought that was cool Nice sized parking lot. There is plenty of seating in multiple rooms and a good size bar serving flights of Whiskeys. And a good variety of draft beer from local New England breweries Live entertainment -check their schedule If you love great brisket like I do, then you are in for a treat. The menu has all of your favorite choices From Ribs to wings to pulled pork and burnt ends I've visited this restaurant for many years and never wrote about them. Maybe because I was looking for better BBQ restaurant to write about and never found another. I have had the brisket platter and the two meat combo platter, the brisket sandwich with sides of dirty rice, home made potato chips, cucumber salad, and my favorite sweet potato pecan puddin . I believe they offer 5 different awesome tasting barbecue sauces to choose from. you can go up and pump your choice of sauces in small cups Their deserts will not disappointed either,the chocolate Beignet's are my favorite This is one BBQ restaurant you should try.
